Second Watchmen trailer released

The second trailer for Zack Snyder's new superhero movie, Watchmen, is now online. The movie is an adaptation of Alan Moore's seminal graphic novel of the same name. Director Zack Snyder is most famous for Dawn of the Dead and 300.

The snippets in the trailer reveal an impressive visual feast, but not much detail regarding the plot other than the fact that the Watchmen, a disparate band of superheros, are the only hope to save the Earth.

The blood dripping off the yellow smiley face suggests there may be a fair amount of violence in this one too.

Watchmen officially arrives in theaters 6 March 2009.
