Ridley Scott's upcoming science fiction epic Prometheus looks to be the stand out science fiction event of 2012. If you were after more information about the film's background story, another wonderful viral video clip has been released featuring the android David, played by Michael Fassbender.

Presented as an android advert for an 8th generation robot created by Weyland Industries, the video is creepy, incredibly intriguing and beautifully shot - especially considering it's just designed to promote the film's release. If this is what Ridley Scott is producing as marketing material, it makes me even more interested in lining up on 7 June when the film gets its release.

Written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof, Prometheus stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron.
