Brad Pitt’s Zombie apocalypse is coming: World War Z trailer strikes

worldwarzMax Brooks' vivid post-apocalyptic horror novel, World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, has been adapted for the big screen with Brad Pitt as the lead. A new trailer for World War Z looks amazing. After reading the novel, I was surprised they would attempt to adapt it all. The novel is a collection of first person accounts of a zombie war with mankind, compiled by an agent of the United Nations Postwar Commission. Published a decade after the war officially ended, the numerous individual accounts describe how the world's population reacted to a zombie pandemic, allowing the author to explore diverse social issues, political beliefs, religious ideals and more against the backdrop of a world gone completely and totally zombie. There were a lot of great, short stories, but no one narrative stood out, which I imagined would make adapting it for Hollywood difficult.

Star Brad Pitt, German director Marc Forster and screenwriter Michael Carnahan, have tied all these stories together by throwing the book's narrator into the center of the action - a UN employee racing against time and fate (Brad Pitt of course) is travelling the world trying to stop the growing zombie menace.

Forster's previous directing efforts include Monster's Ball, Finding Neverland, Stranger Than Fiction, The Kite Runner, Quantum of Solace and Machine Gun Preacher, while writer Carnahan has worked onThe Kingdom, State of Play, Star Trek and Prometheus

Zombies are all the rage at the moment. Watch the trailer for World War Z on YouTube below. These are the fatest zombies I've ever seen. Some of them appear to have been training to become olympic sprinters.
