Twentieth Century Fox has released a new "interactive" trailer for James Cameron's upcoming science fiction epic Avatar. The trailer uses Adobe AIR software, allowing users to access additional embedded content, including real-time feeds of film-related conversations on Twitter, real-time updates of official video content on YouTube, and extra images via Flickr. You'll find video character profiles, ticketing information and more.

This is the first trailer to make use of Adobe Air technology.

Avatar is out December 18. You can find the interactive trailer here. The trailer requires you to install Adobe's Adobe Air software first.
