At the recent Comic-Con in the US, Star Trek Enterprise and Quantum Leap star, Scott Bakula, revealed that a Quantum Leap movie is in the works, but he won't be in the lead role.
Quantum Leap was an excellent science fiction TV show broadcast in the US from March 1989 to May 1993. Created by Donald Bellisario, Scott Bakula starred as Dr. Sam Beckett, a scientist who becomes lost in time following a time travel experiment. Dean Stockwell co-starred as US Navy Rear Admiral Albert Calavicci, who appeared to Sam as a hologram that only Sam could see or hear (along with a few children and animals). Quantum Leap creator Bellisario is working on the film script and has found a Hollywood producer who wants to do it. Bakula revealed that he was too old for the lead role, but he and Stockwell may make an appearance in some capacity.
