New Tron: Legacy 3D extended trailer

tron8A new trailer for Walt Disney's Tron: Legacy has hit the web. Featuring vivid special effects and plenty of fast paced high tech action (and women wearing tight fitting lycra outfits of course), it seems the new film will be a worthy successor to the 1982 original, Tron. For its day, the original Tron movie also featured cutting edge computer generated effects. This time of course they've added 3D into the mix, but sensibly planned it that way from the beginning rather than adding it to the final cut.

The upcoming sequel once again stars Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn and Bruce Boxleitner as Alan Bradley. Kevin Flynn's son, Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), is haunted by the disappearance of his father years before. Now 27, he starts to investigate his disappearance after discovering a signal emanating from his father's abandoned arcade. Sam quickly becomes entangled in the digital universe his father has been trapped in for more than 20 years, and father and son must band together on a life-or-death journey across a visually-stunning digital landscape created by Kevin himself...

Other cast members include Olivia Wilde, Beau Garrett, Michael Sheen and John Hurt.

If you haven't been looking forward to the film, the new trailer may change your mind. It's top of my list at the moment. Tron: Legacy is due out 17 December 2010.
