T. C. McCarthy wins Compton Crook Award for Science Fiction Novel

The Baltimore Science Fiction Society is proud to announce that T. C. McCarthy is the winner of the 2012 Compton Crook Award for his novel "Germline" published in August of 2011 by Orbit the new Science Fiction and Fantasy imprint at Hachette Book Group. The award consisting of a check for $1000.00 and a plaque which will be presented to T. C. McCarthy at 8:00pm on Friday, May 25, 2012 during the Opening Ceremonies of Balticon 46, the annual Maryland Regional Science Fiction Convention.

The Compton Crook Award is presented to the best novel by a given years first time published in the field of Science Fiction, Fantasy, or Horror authors by the members of the Baltimore Science Fiction Society. The award has been presented since 1983 and is also known as the Compton Crook/Stephen Tall Award.
