Being Human Series 3 Trailer unleashed

The third series of the BBC's superb horror-comedy, Being Human, is soon to grace screens in the UK and a new trailer has been unleashed to whet our appetite. No release date has been revealed but by some reckoning it's mere weeks away from premiering. Series One and Two both aired in the UK in April (2009 and 2010 respectively) so while a January release would be welcome, it would be bucking the trend. For what it's worth, I hope it does.

For those who’ve not stumbled across this gem of a series, Being Human is the story of three twenty-something friends, John Mitchell (Aidan Turner), George Sands (Russell Tovey) and Annie Sawyer (Lenora Crichlow), sharing a house in Bristol, England, and trying against the odds to hang on to their humanity in a world that rightly and wrongly fears them and treats them as monsters: Mitchell is a 116 year old vampire, George a socially inept genius recently turned werewolf (as if being a socially inept genius wasn’t bad enough!), and Annie is a ghost who died in the house a few years earlier.

Finally having had the opportunity to watch Nicholas Winding Refn’s Valhalla Rising, I now appreciate why it was received so well at film festivals and yet failed to get a wide theatrical release. No movie release in 2011 was more misunderstood and unfairly maligned as a result of misunderstanding than Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch. Odds are you’ll disagree with that statement. After watching the pilot to Fox’s ambitious TV time travelling dinosaur fest called Terra Nova, I am praying that when I watch the next episode the entire cast gets eaten by dinosaurs (in fact, that hope is the only reason I’ll be able to sit through another one).
