The park is open daily.

The site occupies forty-two acres in a temperate coastal climate, at an elevation of approximately 120 meters above sea level. Fog is common in the mornings and typically clears by midday. The observation platform is exposed to prevailing coastal wind.

Eight permanent galleries are housed in two pavilions connected by a covered walkway. The entrance pavilion contains an orientation desk where printed guides to the collection are available. The galleries and grounds are described in detail elsewhere on this site.

A gift shop adjacent to the entrance pavilion carries prints, reproductions, and reference materials related to the collection.

Gravel paths connect the pavilions, sculpture garden, and observation platform. The grounds are maintained year-round.
